Indians Can Now Have More Fun in the Philippines

Its More Fun in the Philippines

Conditions to be met.

Visa free entry is now granted to Indian nationals with some conditions. It is easy and fast. All airlines check in clerks can log on to the website TIMATIC or TIM travelers information manual.THIS IS AN AIRINE WEBSITE, AND SO EASY TO CHECK. However there are birth pains.

Indian nationals may now enter the country without a visa and stay here up to 14 days. Immigration has issued a memorandum circular allowing Indian nationals to enter the Philippines visa- free so long as they are holders of a valid visa from the European Union (EU) or any of six other countries, being the United States, Canada, Japan, Australia, Singapore and United Kingdom. It may be extended for an additional seven days. The new policy is based on a Department of Foreign Affairs circular issued last March 20.

The rules provide that aside from having any of the seven visas, an Indian traveler’s passport must be valid for at least six months and that he or she must have a return ticket or an onward ticket to the next country of destination. Also, the Indian national must have no derogatory record with the BI, the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency and the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol). The Indian tourists availing of the scheme may enter the country only via the three terminals of Ninoy Aquino International Airport, all located in Manila. No visa conversion will be allowed.

It is interesting to know that a visa free entry is different from a Visa on arrival entry. In a visa free entry the traveler does not have to fill up any form, submit pictures or make any payment. All he does is submit his passport and an Immigration stamp or chop will be placed on the passport. A great move by the Philippines.
